Linen Prints by Angie Lewin

Angie-Lewin-printmaker

Angie Lewin Artist, Printmaker and Textile Designer

Angie Lewin specialises in botanical studies, spending a lot of time outdoors sketching in watercolour. These sketches as the basis for limited edition lino, wood-engraving and litho prints. Her textile designs are inspired by this intense study of plant structures and are printed in the UK by St. Jude's, a company she founded with her husband Simon. St. Jude's works with a small group of printmakers producing and promoting their fabrics and wallpapers.

Hedgerow in blue and red is printed on linen and one of her first designs using this warm, natural background. Its crisp and graphic flower and seedhead motifs work really well with the linen backcloth, creating a soft overall effect. It is a good fabric for curtains or roman or roller blinds.

Limited edition prints by Angie Lewin are on display in our showroom and in the Artists' Print pages on our website.
