Mark Hearld artist, illustrator, printmaker & textile designer
Mark Hearld studied illustration at Glasgow College of Art and then completed an MA in Natural History Illustration at the Royal College of Art. From his studio in York, Mark creates collage and print inspired by wildlife around him. His work is part of a printmaking tradition in the Uk that stems from artists like Bawden, Piper and Nash.
Collaborating with Simon and Angie Lewin (St. Jude's), his intensely detailed and lively patterns are available in a range of very use-able colours, printed on linen and cotton in the UK. Good for Roller or Roman Blinds. Tinsmiths' Made to Measure have developed a bespoke cartridge pleat heading for these lovely designs. Cartridge pleats allow very minimal fullness and for the pattern, therefore, to be seen at best advantage.
Wallpapers are also available in a selection of Mark's designs.
Mark's limited edition prints are on display in our showroom and in our Artists' Prints area on the website.
