Delivery Rates and Times

When your order is dispatched you will receive an email notification. Deliveries are generally made between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. You will receive email or text notifications from either DX, Royal Mail or Parcel Force (oversize items & remote areas) which will provide you with delivery information. By responding to the courier notifications you can alleviate most delivery issues and reschedule your delivery in the following ways:
- Select an alternative delivery date
- Opt for delivery to a nominated neighbour
- Have the parcel left in a safe place
Delivery will attempted twice before the parcel is returned to us. If all of the delivery procedures have been fulfilled correctly and the parcel is returned to us as undeliverable by the courier, we will contact you to re-arrange delivery, which will require a further delivery payment.
Sample Delivery
Our standard sample delivery is via Royal Mail and you should allow up to 9 days for delivery. We also offer the option of a tracked service for 3-12 samples, you should allow up to 5 days for delivery using the tracked service.
Express Service
Cost £18 per order If you need your order a little more speedily than our standard delivery service then an express delivery service can be obtained by telephoning during office hours with your order. Telephone before 10.30am for the possibility of a next day service. This service is dependent on the availability of stock (you will be advised before you order).
UK Highlands, Islands, Remote Areas & The Channel Islands
Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Islands and Channel Islands attract additional carriage charges from our delivery partners. Shipping rates for these areas are calculated using the most competitive service available to us for your postcode and the size and weight of the parcel being sent.
Please note that fabric rolls are classified as oversized items by most carriers and therefore attract higher delivery charges than standard parcels.

Channel Islands fabric roll delivery: from £45.00 (ex VAT)
Delivery charges are subject to review and may vary depending on the size of the order and carrier rates at the time of purchase.
Delivery Outside the UK
We do not currently offer international delivery as a standard website service. However, for larger orders we may be able to arrange shipping on a case-by-case basis. Please email customerservice@tinsmiths.co.uk with details of the items you would like to order, together with the full delivery address, and we will advise whether we are able to assist.
Delivery charges are calculated according to the weight and dimensions of the goods, your location, and the rates available to us through our international carriers. Shipping charges cover packaging and delivery costs only. Please note that customs duties, import taxes and local handling charges may be payable upon arrival in the destination country. These charges vary by country and are the responsibility of the recipient. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise on the amount that may be payable. Customs authorities may also inspect shipments before delivery, which can occasionally result in delays beyond our control.
