Inspired by visual language from the past, Ann Taylor is fascinated by imagery from the Byzantines to the Victorians. She is drawn to the idea of adornment as storytelling – the way an object worn close to the body can carry history, meaning and emotion.

Working from her Worcestershire studio, Ann creates much of her jewellery using the lost wax casting method. The pieces are cast in brass and are often set with a variety of stones. She also works in enamel, resin and with enamel paints.
