Bolton Twill Lining

100% cotton durable fabric with a diagonal structure in the weave.

A densely woven fabric which is generally used as an interlining (between the face fabric and the lining). In the Tinsmiths workroom we use this as an alternative to blackout lining where extra bulk is not desirable, for example in Roman blinds. The weave allows a good drape, and can also prevent the issue of ‘pinpricks of light’ which sometimes occur when making curtains or blinds with other blackout linings. It is obviously not suitable for use with thin, light coloured face fabric as the black can shade through to the curtain or blind face.

This fabric has been treated with a Non Durable Flame Retardant (NDFR) to British standard BS5867 for curtains and drapes.
