Desdemona McCannon is an educator, printmaker and writer based in Leominster, Herefordshire. She has a particular interest in the profusion of ideas, images and skills held by the word ‘folk’.

Desdemona makes hand carved lino blocks or rubber stamps that over time have become a printer’s library – a personal lexicon of images. Recently she has been exploring ways to print onto textiles and ceramics as well as on paper.

Desdemona is currently Principal Lecturer in Illustration at the University of Worcester.
