Paul Young – Exhibition Artwork
Paul Young produces highly decorative ceramics, throwing his own vessels or hand building figurative characters then decorating with colourful liquid clays. His work is charming and functional, two pillars of all that Tinsmiths stands for. For this exhibition he has worked alongside Mark Hearld to create a limited collection of figures, assisting and advising Mark as he built and decorated the pieces in Paul’s impressive studio.

Of course we will also be showing a collection of Paul’s superb wheel-thrown and press-moulded earthenware plates, bowls and jugs expertly decorated with colourful slip which take inspiration from a long tradition of British slipware including C18th Staffordshire pottery and European folk art.
